At Bukit View Secondary School, we celebrate not just talent, but the resilience that turns setbacks into success. Jeyaseelan Sai Hayagreev (4G) exemplifies this spirit through his remarkable journey in Track and Field.
After narrowly missing out on a medal in 2024, Jeyaseelan returned stronger and more determined. This year, he earned 2nd place in both the 800m and 1500m B Division Finals at the National School Games, clocking an impressive 2:08.99 and 4:14.29 respectively.
In the NSG Cross Country Championships 2025, Jeyaseelan finished in a respectful 12 out of 248 competitors in the boys' B Division.
Jeyaseelan’s comeback is a testament to his grit and growth mindset. “Everything is possible if you put your mind to it and have the correct mindset to put the training in,” he shares.

Selvakumar Sridarshan

Selvakumar Sridarshan (2F) exemplifies sporting excellence and strength of character. Despite his diminutive size, he stamps his authority on the tracks with his performance.
Darshan clinched 2nd place in the 800m U-15 Finals at the prestigious National Age Group Championships, clocking an impressive 2:24.01. He also secured 4th place in the 1500m C Division Finals at the National School Games Track & Field Championships, finishing with a commendable 4:52.10.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Darshan demonstrates grit, resilience and a positive mindset—values we uphold at Bukit View. He trains with focus and humility, always striving to improve and support his teammates.

Faris Afkar

Faris Afkar (4B) exemplifies the qualities of a dedicated and well-rounded student, demonstrating strong academic focus alongside exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit. His conscientious nature and willingness to help others reflect his maturity and compassionate character. Most notably, Faris's 11-year dedication to Silat culminated in a remarkable achievement when he clinched the Gold Medal in Junior Male Class K at the National Pencak Silat Championship 2025, showcasing his outstanding commitment to excellence both in and outside the classroom. His accomplishments serve as an inspiring example of perseverance and holistic development at Bukit View Secondary School.
John Chia

John Chia (4B) has demonstrated dedication to the SP-CCA (Water Polo). John has been the Captain for B division since May 2024, leading the team by his quiet and calm disposition. He has been a good role model coming in for every training session always on time, getting the team organised and rallying the team together from the different schools. He is able to balance his commitment to the sport with studies. His display of leadership serves as an inspiring example of serving beyond Bukit View Secondary School.
Lim Jia Ying

Lim Jia Ying (3G) discovered her interest in solving Pyraminx as part of Project Zest. Despite facing numerous setbacks, disappointments, and moments of self-doubt in the learning and practicing to solve the Pyraminx, she displayed unwavering dedication and grit to overcome each challenge. Through her perseverance, Jia Ying not only emerged as the champion of the event but also set a new national record for the Pyraminx average with an impressive 1.94 seconds, making her the fastest Pyraminx cuber in Singapore. Her remarkable feat was further solidified when she was recognised as the current female world record holder for the Pyraminx single solve at just 0.86 seconds. Jia Ying’s achievements reflect not only her talent but also her strength of character and the values learnt from Bukit View Secondary School.
